Jeff Lo Vette
Operator · Builder

An operator who builds.

Sixteen years running operations and full P&L in multi-site businesses, now shipping production AI and running the infrastructure under it. I take a problem, prototype the fix, prove it against real data, and put it in production, then I keep the servers it runs on.

MyCornerman

mycornerman.ai

An honest, seeker-first job-search tool. Paste a posting and get a straight read: whether it shows the markers of a scam or a resume harvester, whether the title matches the actual job, whether it has been reposted for months, and whether it genuinely fits your background. It then drafts a tailored resume and cover letter from your own profile and flags every claim that stretches. Built in the middle of my own search, out of more than 150 applications, as the thing I needed and could not find.

  • Deterministic-first protective layer — scam, harvester and ghost-job checks run with no model call, so they stay free, instant, and work even during an AI outage.
  • Row-level security on 11 tables — every policy keyed to the caller; the anonymous role holds nothing at all.
  • Stripe billing, verified at the bytes — webhooks checked against raw request bytes; billing writable only by the server.
  • Dual database backend — Postgres or SQLite behind one identical interface, chosen at boot.
  • Structured model output — Claude reads substance through forced strict tool calls with schema validation.
  • 115 offline tests & a written breach plan — plus account export and permanent delete, built in.

Shipped AI application

VINtage

A production app with an AI receipt and document scanner powered by Claude's vision capability, built end to end: automated workflows, live billing, and row-level security. The first thing I shipped, and proof I could take an idea from empty repo to paying-ready product.

Fixed-Ops Digital Products

torqueadvisorygroup.com

Torque Advisory Group advises dealerships on fixed operations and helps them turn static data into data they can act on — part consulting, part software. I productized sixteen years of that operating knowledge into a suite of fixed-ops analysis tools dealers buy outright, sold through a Stripe storefront with automatic sales tax and signed-link delivery.

  • Fixed Ops Profit Calculator — free; the lead magnet.
  • KPI Dashboard — $79.
  • Technician Analyzer — $399, Excel.
  • Fixed Ops P&L Snapshot — $499.

Infrastructure

I run the infrastructure, not just the apps on top of it.
Self-hosted server

Docker homelab

A real server running a multi-container stack I built, configured, and maintain.

  • Immich for private photo storage
  • Self-hosted password vault

Live ops dashboard

A dashboard I built that runs 24/7 on a dedicated monitor, surfacing the state of my systems at a glance.

Delivery

DevOps & source control

Git-based delivery for the products I ship — version control, automated deploys from main, and secrets kept out of the codebase.

  • GitHub → auto-deploy on push
  • Secret scanning before publish
  • Sanitized public repositories

Operating career

Sixteen years of P&L ownership, multi-site leadership, and turnarounds — the foundation the building sits on.
2023 – 2026

General Manager

Conway Beam Truck Group

Owned full P&L of a multi-department commercial-truck operation. Modernized the reporting and tech stack, sat on the company's AI committee, and grew the service department's gross profit from 62% to 85%, delivering that location's first profitable year in nearly a decade.

2022 – 2023

Wholesale Regional Account Manager

Simple Tire

Owned a remote, multi-state territory, turning data and customer signal into account strategy across independent repair shops.

2020 – 2022

General Manager

Jack Williams Tire

Owned the P&L, staffed and coached the team, tracked profit and revenue, and grew the business.

2019 – 2020

District Manager

Monro / Mr. Tire

Led 14 locations and more than 100 people, standardizing operations and driving performance across a distributed footprint through influence rather than org chart.

Earlier: multi-year automotive retail and operations roles, including Maguire Chrysler — a continuous 16-year run in automotive and commercial-truck operations, with a regional network of ~600 independent-shop contacts.

Let's talk.

I'm looking for a role where an operator who actually builds is an advantage — operations, AI enablement, platform, or a founder-adjacent seat where I can ship. If that sounds like your problem, reach out.
